Our
Story
Oxsen Learning didn't start as a business plan; it started as a realization.

Founder Laura Oxsen noticed a recurring pattern in two very different worlds. As a Professional Engineer, she saw technical teams struggling. The issue was not a lack of talent; it was a lack of workflow.

New engineers understood the theory. But applying that knowledge to nuanced, real-world designs takes time. There was no structured system to teach that application efficiently.

Years later, facing the demands of working parenthood, she recognized the same gap in her personal life. The "Systems Thinking" required to design infrastructure was exactly what was needed to manage a busy home.

The Solution
Oxsen Learning was established to bridge that gap. The company operates with a dual focus:

-
For the Professional: Providing technical foundations and career development tools to help engineers bridge the gap between school and the real world.

-
For the Person: Creating structured systems for financial clarity and managing the mental load of daily life.

Our
Mission
To provide accessible, practical learning resources built from lived experience, helping people gain the knowledge, tools, and perspective they need to build skills, grow confidence, and better understand the world around them.

Our Vision
To empower people to build a life of confidence and capability. We believe that when we share knowledge, we lower the barrier to success. Our vision is to make the complex feel manageable, giving you the solid foundation you need to flourish at work and at home.

Meet the Founder
Hi, I’m Laura Oxsen.

I am a dual-licensed Professional Engineer and a Certified Learning & Development Specialist.

While you do not often see those titles together, for me, it was a natural progression. I chose to focus on where my passion and skills overlapped rather than limiting myself to a typical path.

Throughout my time as a Civil Engineer, I discovered that I was most passionate about setting others up for success. I loved the human connection of mentoring and training. But I was equally drawn to the technical systems. I loved creating templates and processes to make things easier for the next person.

My journey in engineering taught me to see the world through a structured and analytical lens. It wasn’t until later in life that I began exploring my creative side, and I realized that the most impactful solutions come from blending structured thinking and creativity.

I founded Oxsen Learning to bring those two worlds together. I understand
the technical precision required for design, and I understand the psychology behind how people learn. I use that perspective to build real-world tools that focus not just on the process, but on the person using it.

My goal is to help you bridge the gap between learning a concept and applying it—giving you the confidence to show up as your authentic self in every facet of your life.
Whether you are at the office or at the kitchen table, you deserve a system that works.
